Things to Do in Slovenia

If you can’t decide between water sports or snow skiing, Slovenia is the place for you.  You can go to one part of Slovenia and get all of the water sports in that you could ever want, and you can go to another section and take part in skiing.  Of course, that is not all that Slovenia has to offer.

Hike by a Beautiful Waterfall

If you like beauty and you like hiking, you can get it all when you got to the Vinter Gorge in Bled.  You can hike through the trails and then look at a gorgeous waterfall.  The waterfall is the perfect place to take a break and rest up before you hike back. 

Many people make a day trip out of this and really get a workout in, but you don’t have to do that.  You can just take a short little trip to see the waterfall and then go back to your vacation rental or to the next attraction.

See a Historic Castle

While you are in Bled, be sure to see the Bled Castle.  This castle is centuries old and it is now a museum.  Once inside, you will be able to see things such as armor and weapons.  It is a lot of fun to get to see the artifacts from so long ago.

When you are in the castle, you will be transported back to an ancient time and you will be able to learn about the time periods that are represented.  You will be able to have a fun time while learning a lot.

Get in a Castle and a Cave

If you go to Postojna, you will be able to go on a tour of a great cave, and then see the Predjama Castle.  This is a great side trip if you are in the mood for adventure.

You will be able to go through the cave and explore, and then you will be set to see the historic castle.  You will be amazed by both structures and you are sure to have fun.
