Things to Do in Saba

When you go to Saba, you know that you are going to enjoy a vacation in peace.  You will not be bothered by other tourists, and you will get to take a break from the world at this remote vacation spot.  That is not to say there is not a lot to do in Saba.  You will be amazed by the gorgeous beaches that offer great relaxation and fun.

A Hike with a View

Be sure to visit Mount Scenery in Windwardside.  You will be able to go through a rainforest and enjoy the sights before you go climb 3000 feet in the air to get to the top of the mountain.  You will then be able to enjoy a spectacular view.  Once you get back down to the bottom, you can walk around the rainforest some more and take everything in.

Purchase Local Products

If you like to shop, a trip to the Hell’s Gate Community Centre is a must.  You will be able to purchase things that are made by the women of Hells’ Gate.  You can find some great buys and it is worth a look.  the products are very unique and you will be able to take something home that will always stir up memories of your trip.

See the Sharks

If you like the idea of seeing some sharks, go to the Third Encounter in Saba.  Many people scuba dive at this location.  You will have a good chance of spotting some sharks while there.

If you do not come across a shark there, go to Shark Shoal.  You will be able to go on a great dive and you will also increase your chances of a shark sighting.

The Best Snorkeling on the Island

If you love to snorkel be sure to stop by Well’s Bay in Saba.  This bay was made specifically for snorkeling.  The government created this park so visitors and locals could enjoy the best snorkeling in the area.
