Art Lovers, Don’t Miss This

If you love art, there is one thing that you must see above all else.  If you go to Russia and don’t visit the State Hermitage Museum and Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, you will regret it.  This museum beats any other museum you have ever visited.  Take your time as you browse through the 2.7 million exhibits at this great museum. 

Get one of our vacation rentals nearby so you can go back to the museum so you can get as many of the exhibits in as possible.  This museum is practically impossible to complete in one visit, so be sure to set aside time to go back.

Meet Peter the Great

You can also go to the Peterhof Palace and Garden in St. Petersburg.  Once there, you can view a large collection of marble statues and sculptures, and even see some of the artifacts of Peter the Great.  This is an amazing place to visit if you are interested in Russian history.

Take a True Crime Tour

Another great attraction you can see in St. Petersburg is Yusupov Palace.  When you take a tour of this palace, you can see the crime scene where the murder of Rasputin, who was known as the “mad monk,” occurred.  You will gain insight about the murder, and this is an interesting tour for people who love history and for those who do not.

The Golden Church

A trip to Russia is not the same without going to the St. Petersburg Church of Our Savior on Spilled Blood.  This church is gorgeous and draped in gold.  It is a must see for tourists.
