See the Beauty in Architecture

Europe is known for its love of castles, but one stands alone as the most beautiful.  If you love seeing castles, be sure to see Peles Castle.  This castle was built in the 19th century, and there has yet to be a castle that has been able to rival this in beauty.

You will be mesmerized as soon as you see it.  People come from all over to admire the detail that went into this amazing structure.

Living History

If you want to see the old and the new combined, go to Bucharest and visit the Lipscani zone.  This is the historical center of the town, and you will be able to see the place that has been the backbone of the community.  This area began in the middle ages and it is still important to this day.

See the History of this Remarkable Region

The Memorial of the Victims of Communism and the Resistance is a must see for those who are interested in history.  Located in Sighetu Marmatei, this memorial is incredibly moving and will put things into perspective for those who are not familiar with or who have not experienced communism or a government that did not allow them to be free.

This monument is an essential stop if you want to understand the area in which you are visiting.  This monument is very important to the people of Romania, and it is a showing of respect when you visit it.

See Where Dracula Lived

A trip to Brasov is a must for those who love Dracula.  Once there, you can see Bran Castle, which is an amazing site.

At one time, the castle was occupied by Vlad the Impaler.  Vlad inspired the book Dracula, which is why this castle is known as Dracula’s Castle.  Vlad was known for impaling his victims for minor offenses, if they had committed an offense at all.  He has become a legend of sorts, and the castle is an amazing place to visit.  You can practically see the evil oozing out of it when you come up on it.

Romania has a lot to offer, and we have vacation rentals that cover everything.  We can put you next to Dracula’s Castle, or one of the many historic sites.  Once you have decided what you want to do while in Romania, browse through our vacation rentals.  You are certain to find the perfect rental for your vacation.
