Things to Do in Mississippi

Are you planning a trip to Mississippi?  Are you looking forward to the architecture, the lazy summer days, and the history that lies between the state lines?  No matter what you are interested in, we have vacation rentals that will put you close to all of your favorite attractions.

There is much more to Mississippi than meets the eye.  Make sure that you take your time in planning your vacation so you do not miss out on some of the great attractions in the area.

Jackson Area

The Jackson area has a lot to offer.  First, there is the Canton Flea Market, which brings people from all over the United States in to find great deals.  You have never seen a Flea Market quite like this.  It occurs twice a year, and it is a huge draw.

You can also watch the Mississippi Braves play.  They are the minor league team of the Atlanta Braves, and their games are always a lot of fun.  They have a stadium just south of Jackson, and occasionally you can see one of the members of the Atlanta Braves in the game.

Tunica Area

Tunica is like a miniature Las Vegas.  It has the best gambling in Mississippi, along with other historic attractions that you are sure to enjoy.  You can take the time to see the sites, or you can hit the slot machines in one of the casinos.  You can also visit Sam’s Town, which is near Tunica and also offers gambling.

Natchez Area

Historic Natchez has plantation homes and many other historic buildings.  You can also gamble at the little casino that the area has to offer.  You can take the historic Natchez Trace into Natchez.

Most visitors of Natchez like to drive around and enjoy the scenery.  The narrow roads of the area allow visitors to feel as if they are right on top of the homes, and they can look at them as they drive past.

Tupelo Area

Visit Tupelo and see the little house where Elvis Presley was born.  Once a small town, Tupelo is now booming with industry.  You can see landmarks for Elvis as well as other things that the town offers.

You will be amazed by the size of Elvis’ house.  It is interesting to see how he came from nothing but ended up being a huge star.

Gulf Coast Area

From gambling to the beach, the gulf coast is an area favorite.  It has been rebuilt since Hurricane Katrina hit it several years ago, and now it is bigger and stronger than ever.  You can walk along the beach, go to the area casinos, and enjoy the shops and restaurants that line the coast.

Allow us to find the accommodations you need to get the most out of your Mississippi vacation.  Our vacation rentals are certain to fit your needs and allow you to have a great time while you are in Mississippi.  Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have fun.
