Things to Do in the Canary Islands

Befriend the Parrots

If you like the idea of seeing parrots and other tropical birds, make sure you stop by Loro Parque in Sante Cruz de Tenerife.  Not only is this a park, but it is a natural history museum as well.  You will be able to enjoy your visit and learn a lot about the area.  This is definitely a worthy stop during your trip.

If you want something more intense than parrots and tropical birds, you can go to the Park Las Aquilas Jungle Park in Arona.  This is a nature reserve where you can see a wide variety of wild animals.  You can have a great time on this trip.

If that still isn’t the kind of animal action that you want, check out the Palmitos Park in Maspalomas.  Not only are there animals for you to see at this park, but they also put on shows with the animals.  You can go to the amphitheater and see shows about birds of prey and other interesting things.  After the shows, you can walk around and visit the animals.

Hit the Beach

If you want to relax on the beach, head to Famara Beach in Lanzarote.  You can get one of our beach rentals so you will never have to stray too far from the sand.

This beach was made for surfing, so if you have a board, bring it along.  You will be able to ride some of the best waves you have ever seen. 

If you aren’t a surfer, you can still enjoy the beach.  You can go swimming and lie on the sand and relax.  This beach has it all and it is worth the visit.
