Things to Do in Aruba

For years, Aruba has enjoyed the reputation of being one of the best islands in the Caribbean.  It received that reputation by offering gorgeous beaches and a glamorous nightlife that includes casinos and bars.  The area is also known for fine dining and a lot of fun.

Dive to the Shipwreck

The Antilla at North Point is one of the best dive sites in all of Aruba.  During Word War II, this German freighter was sunk, and its wreckage still lies beneath the water to this day.  It is a favorite spot for divers, as they like to explore the historic wreckage.

If you want to see the shipwreck but you do not want to dive, you can still see it by snorkeling.  The clear water allows for incredible visibility, so you can get your snorkeling gear and grab of glimpse of this shipwreck.

Get the Most Out of the Beach

The beaches in Aruba aren’t just for swimming and getting a tan.  Take a trip to Arashi Beach in North Point.  You can go scuba diving, windsurfing, sailing and diving.  This beach is a real adventure and it is impossible to get bored.

See the Art of the Area

If you are interested in Aruban art, be sure to visit the Access Art Gallery in Oranjestad.  This gallery houses Aruban contemporary art and is a must see for any art lover.

Take a Ride in a Submarine

Atlantis Adventures in Oranjestad offers one of the best experiences in all of Aruba.  You can get on a submarine and go underwater and explore the sites.  Go through shipwrecks and see the marine life.  This is an amazing adventure and should not be missed.

Go Mountain Climbing

If you want to really get a good view, go to Hooiberg in Aruba.  The peak for this mountain stands at 541 feet and you can see all over the island once you make it to the peak.  It is a gorgeous view and if you love hiking be sure to try to make time for this.
